dear delulu,
welcome to the first ever issue of the delulu club newsletter. it’s maricris, and i’m writing to you from my enchanting river-view balcony.
can you believe my view used to look like this?
these deciduous trees remind me of our growth: where there's pain, there blooms potential. this is especially true in our journey towards becoming the person we aspire to be.
whether you dream of being a content creator, a successful startup owner, or a singer—it takes so. much. work. to close the gap between who you are currently, and your desired self.
i hope to make your transformation journey a little easier with this newsletter. each month, i'll send you inspiration, actionable tips, and free self-development tools that are helping me chase my delulu dreams.

“you’re not just a fan. you’re one of them.”
this is one of the mindset shifts katie steckly encouraged creators to have in 2024.
it rooted from her experience at her first sony conference. she sat a table with creators she’d admired for years and thought, “wow, i made it. i am a content creator.”
but, she reflects, she had always been one.
which makes sense! i mean, think about it.
the only difference between a creator with a million followers and one with just one is their stage in the journey. they’re both creators.
you don’t need to wait for a grand event to embody your dream persona. start being that person NOW. spiritually, through the law of assumption, and physically, by putting in the reps needed to match the energy of your dream identity.
speaking of dream identities…katie is a creator that i admire.
she started making youtube videos at 12 when she found no one in class to share her passion for harry potter with. post-university in 2018, with just 2,500 subscribers, she went all in on her dream of becoming a content creator. after balancing freelance work and bi-weekly videos for 6 months, one video went viral, catapulting her to 40,000 subscribers by 2019 🥹.
today, she runs a six-figure content business — creator club podcast and creatorly media — and travels in her campervan.
katie’s journey proves that embodying your dream consistently makes achieving it inevitable.
in other words, your dream is already waiting for you. all you have to do is keep going.

actionable tips for the mind, body and spirit to help you align with your desired self.
💭 mind
one thing i used to do is wait until the new year to finally become my best self. year after year, i would devise a master plan in january to rule my world. but year after year, by february, i would abandon ship and go back to bad habits.
in retrospect, i was not energetically ready.
if you’re reading this, i’m going to assume that you’re somewhat there—ready to become the best version of yourself.
one thing you need to remember is you don’t have to wait until december 31st to change your life. you can change your life anyfuckingtime you want.
you just need to know the prerequisites to manifesting what or who you want.
prerequisites to manifesting:
clarity — get clear on what/who you want, go general, then ask the universe.
get specific: i want one of my reels to go viral this week.
go general: i want to create a reel that can inspire millions.
ask the universe: (on your habit board & during the guided meditation i made for you)1
faith — have unwavering faith in the universe. detach from your desire and allow the universe to work its magic.
delusion — feel as if you already have it. better yet, expect its arrival.
alignment — follow what feels good and stay focused. sustain this frequency by building a system that aligns with your self-image.
your mind hw
below is a quick start to manifesting. pick it up when you’re ready to become your dream person.
watch the secret
determine a simple feel-good routine. here’s mine (i call it the morning ritual):
4am-5am: wake up & get ready
5am-6am: work out & meditate
7am-8am: chores & get ready
create a habit board to help you:
get clear on your dreams and goals
turn your feel-good routine into a habit2
stay focused
lmk if you have any questions about the habit board — i invented it 🙂.
💪 body
i am in the process of improving my circadian rhythm.
the circadian rhythm is your body’s internal clock that helps manage your daily schedule for sleeping, waking up, and eating. it runs on a roughly 24-hour cycle and is influenced mainly by natural light and darkness. this rhythm helps your body function smoothly by telling it when it's time to sleep, wake up, digest food, recover, and etc.
it also helps regulate your energy levels throughout the day, making sure you feel alert or relaxed at the right times. when this internal clock is in sync with your daily activities and the natural light-dark cycle, you feel more energetic and healthy. but if it's out of sync, you might feel tired, groggy, or have trouble sleeping.
fun fact: circadian rhythms aren’t unique to humans—they affect ALL living organisms, from plants to animals, helping them adapt to environmental changes.
this is why i am challenging myself to maintain a regular sleep pattern and get plenty of natural light during the day.
your body hw
here are the changes i’m making to improve my circadian rhythm:
set a consistent sleep schedule
bedtime: go to bed at the same time every night. because i need to wake up by 4am, i try to be in bed around 7:30pm to ensure i get about 8 hours of sleep.
wake-up time: wake up at the same time every morning around 4am, even on weekends, to help regulate my body clock.
manage exposure to light
morning sunlight: walk the dogs for 20 minutes as soon as the sun’s out (i wake up early, so i have to wait for the sun. but try to expose yourself to sunlight asap after you wake up.)
reduce blue light at night: set screens aside an hour before bedtime.
regular meal times
breakfast: eat breakfast within an hour of waking up to jumpstart my metabolism (a pre-workout brekkie for me).
lunch: have lunch at the same time each day (~12pm).
dinner: eat dinner ~5pm; 2 hours before my bedtime to allow digestion before sleep.
choose one of these changes, customize it to your lifestyle, and try it for a month and lmk if you notice any changes. i’ll keep you updated as well.
🧘🏻♀️ spirit
i love to bend reality and time with energy work, visualizations, positive affirmations, and tapping into higher brain states. but like any art, it takes practice to master the craft. one tool i’m using to improve my realitybending skill is the 17-second meditation rule by esther hicks.
it’s a concept that can help you get into a higher frequency, thus helping you manifest faster.
here’s how it works:
focus on a thought: start by focusing purely on a single positive thought or idea.
17 seconds of pure focus: if you can hold this thought undiluted for 17 seconds, it will begin to attract more thoughts with a similar vibration or frequency.
momentum builds: if you can focus for more than 17 seconds, the thought gains more power and energy. according to hicks, at 68 seconds of pure concentration, the thought has enough momentum to begin manifesting into reality.
your spirit hw
practice the 17-second rule every single day, for a week.
and don’t worry, i’ve created the guided meditation below to help you focus for longer than 68 seconds. it incorporates getting into the alpha and theta states.
alpha state: light relaxation to make it easier to create and maintain the mental images that are critical for effective manifestation.
theta state: deeper than alpha. it's in this state that you can deeply influence your subconscious programming, which is vital for changing beliefs and manifesting new realities.
hicks recommends trying the 17-second rule as soon as you wake up because it’s the optimal time for setting the tone for the rest of the day. i prefer doing it right after my workout because i am on a high vibration.
feel free to choose when; either as soon as you open your eyes, or right after the gym.
life updates
i thought it would be fun to end this monthly newsletter with an update on my manifesting journey. it’s also an easy and cool way to document my story, so that it’ll be easier to write about when my desire comes into physical reality 😏.
here is my 2024 vision board:
my #1 delusional dream is growing from ~900 youtube subscribers to 100k by the end of the year. to manifest it, i’ll be focusing on inputs (actions & behaviors) rather than purely on the output (subscribers):
ship at least 3 shorts, 1 video and 1 community post every week
research, experiment, reflect, pivot and improve my videos by 1% week after week
continually improve my lifestyle and content system
i’ll show you my yt analytics in the next issue 🙂.
currently, my biggest why/purpose in becoming an influencer is to teach and inspire people how to manifest their dream life by showing them what i do. i want to show you how i’m manifesting my dreams, and help you do the same when you’re ready.
honestly, my #1 rule to manifesting is simple: follow what feels good. this is also my content strategy on youtube. and guess what? it’s working.
here are my updates.
a win
i recently became obsessed with the high and productivity i get after every workout. this is why i’ve been doing a fun challenge i made for myself, to finally become an early gym girlie.3 i call it project66.
ofc, because project66 makes me feel good, i decided to turn it into content. this decision brought me TWO real life versions of my target audience/avatar.
to me, meeting them is worth way more than having a yt short pop off. because it means that, after months of figuring out what kind of creator i want to be, i finally have a little more clarity.
my win is that the universe is bringing my tribe to me 🥹 (*ty universe 🙏.*)
a manifestation
one dream of mine is to find and savor spring blooms.
truly excited to share that i have achieved this multiple times with my little family, and we’ll be exploring a lot more wildflower hikes as summer wakes up.
a learning
my biggest struggle in quarter one of this year is my lack of discipline when it comes to shipping consistently for my #1 delusional goal.
a simple mindset shift that helped me get my sh*t together is treating my youtube channel like a business. there are deadlines i need to meet, a weekly performance review, and a clear content strategy, plan and calendar.
thinking like a business owner pretty much motivated me to create v1 of my content system, which i am happy to share with you next month 😊.

you’re asked to share your vision/ask in the habit board. you also ask during your spirit hw.
by challenging yourself to doing the habit for 66 days.
fun fact about me: before december 2023, i never had a consistent workout routine.
